John and Keely Shofner, a husband and wife team with deep roots in motorsport, launched KinForged as a passion project during the racing off season. What began as a local exploration of Sonoma County artisans has grown into a celebrated docu-series capturing the stories of makers across disciplines and regions. Since its debut, KinForged has earned industry recognition, winning Best Documentary Film at the 2025 Austin Short Film Festival, and continues to attract artisans from around the country and beyond, who are eager to share their craft and be part of its expanding story.

CEO of KCAGENCY, leads photography, operations and interviews, delving into the artisans' inspirations, challenges, and journeys. Together, they’ve created a storytelling experience that goes beyond the surface, offering an intimate look at the artistry, tradition, and soul behind handmade works.
